Description

• This symposium aims to bring together experts, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the One Health issues and solutions in food safety and environmental health in Malawi. We believe that by fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and sharing knowledge and experiences, we can develop innovative strategies to address the complex challenges facing our communities.

The symposium will feature presentations, panel discussions, and poster sessions covering a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

• Emerging zoonotic diseases and their impact on food safety or environmental health
• Sustainable agricultural practices and their implications for public health
• Water quality and its influence on food production and human health
• Policy frameworks and regulatory mechanisms for ensuring One Health approaches in Malawi
• Community engagement and capacity building for promoting One Health awareness
